Privacy Policy

This page explains in plain language what ttsloom ("we", "us") does with information when you use the text-to-speech studio at ttsloom.com. It is a draft that a lawyer has not reviewed yet, so treat it as our honest description of how the service works today, not as a formal legal guarantee.

What ttsloom does

ttsloom turns text you type into spoken audio. To do that, the text you submit is sent to third-party speech models. Most of this policy is about what happens to that text and to the audio made from it.

Information we handle

• Text and voice settings. The script you write, the voices you pick, and any tone, scene or voice description you add for a generation.
• Generated audio. The audio made from your text. We store it for a limited time so you can play it and download it.
• A record of each generation. So a job can finish and be shown back to you, we keep a record of it, which includes the text and settings you submitted, for a limited time.
• Guest usage limits. If you use ttsloom without an account, we limit how many audio files can be generated. We do this with a hashed version of your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address for this purpose.
• Account details (optional). You can sign in with Google. If you do, we receive your email address and basic profile details that Google shares, and we keep an account record with your character balance and your purchases. A cookie keeps you signed in.
• Payments. One-time character packs are paid through Stripe. Stripe handles your card details and we never see your card number. We keep a record of what you bought.
• Messages to us. If you write through the contact page or email us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply.
• Usage and technical data. We may use analytics (such as Plausible or Google Analytics 4) to understand how the site is used, and our hosting may keep ordinary technical logs. Analytics tools that need your consent load only after you accept them in the banner. You can change your choice later. See the Cookie Policy.

Who receives your text

To generate audio, your text and voice settings are sent to third-party speech models. Today that means Google's Gemini text-to-speech models, which we reach through the KIE API service. These companies handle the text under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control. Please do not put passwords, ID numbers or other sensitive information about yourself or anyone else into the text.

Other services that may handle data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, storage for generated audio and, where switched on, a bot check for guests), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments) and the analytics tools above.

ttsloom does not offer voice cloning, and we do not ask for recordings of your voice.

How we use information

We use information to run the studio and generate your audio, to apply usage limits and prevent abuse, to process payments, to answer your messages, to understand and improve the site, and to meet legal obligations. Our service providers may be in other countries, so data may be processed outside the country where you live.

How long we keep it

Generated audio and the record of each generation are kept for a limited time and then removed. Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists, and we may keep purchase records longer where the law or accounting requires it. Analytics data follows the retention of the analytics provider.

Your choices

You can use ttsloom as a guest without signing in. You can reject optional analytics, and you can clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time. To ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it, email us. We will look at each request and reply as soon as we reasonably can. Which rights apply to you depends on where you live.
